About Katie

Katie is a warm, thoughtful counsellor who offers a compassionate space for people navigating stress, trauma, and the deeper questions of identity. She brings together professional training with lived experience, helping clients feel both understood and supported as they work through life’s challenges.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Counselling, and currently completing her Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Katie combines a strong academic foundation with a human, down-to-earth approach.

She works with adults and young people who are seeking support with:

  • Trauma and stress recovery (including PTSD and Complex PTSD)
  • Anxiety and social phobia, including confidence and communication struggles
  • Insomnia and sleep difficulties, using CBT-i strategies to restore healthy sleep patterns
  • Identity, self-esteem, and eating disorders, including challenges with body image, personality development (such as introversion/extroversion), self-expression, and self-acceptance
  • Relationship and family dynamics, including sibling roles, boundaries, and how early patterns influence present connections
  • Life transitions – adapting to change, loss, or new roles

Approach to Counselling

Her work is particularly focused on how personality, family patterns, and meaning-making processes shape our sense of self and our relationships. With curiosity and compassion, she supports clients to build healthier boundaries, stronger self-awareness, and deeper resilience.
